Spicy Arrabbiata Pasta
A simple yet delicious pasta recipe using Luciaβs Arrabbiata Sauce β perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients (Add them to your shopping list)
- 1 jar Lucia Arrabbiata Pasta Sauce
- 350g penne pasta (Also delicious with spaghetti)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- Your choice of
- baby spinach
- olives
- grilled chicken or prawns
- chilli flakes for extra heat
- Fresh basil or parsley
- Parmesan or pecorino cheese
Instructions (the magic is in the detail)
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic and cook until soft and fragrant.
- Pour in the Lucia Arrabbiata Sauce and simmer for 5β7 minutes.
- Add spinach or protein if using.
- Reserve Β½ cup pasta water, then drain pasta.
- Toss pasta through the sauce, adding a splash of pasta water to help coat everything evenly.
- Top with basil and grated cheese.
Arrabbiata sauce traditionally combines tomatoes, garlic, chilli, parsley, and olive oil for a spicy Roman-style pasta sauce.
